When we tried the Star Energizer, we had already done quite a bit as far as learning about each other's strengths and weaknesses and sometimes divergent perspectives. The Star Energizer gave us a different angle from which to deal with these things. We appreciated the thought-provoking results, and that there was an opportunity at the website to go further. The biggest benefit came from the discussions that ensued in the process - both as to what each of us thought the words meant, as well as where we agreed and disagreed on scoring them for each other.

The STAR Energizer requires a modern, standards-compliant, Javascript-enabled web browser in order to work properly. If the display on your screen is confusing or "messed up," chances are that your browser is out-of-date, and you would do well to upgrade to the newest version, or get a new browser altogether.
The Webmaster for the STAR Energizer recommends using Firefox. Firefox is free for personal use, fast, easy to install, and totally customizable. It also conforms to the standards of the World Wide Web Consortium, which provides guidelines for all browser manufacturers to follow. As a result, the STAR Energizer works great when viewed with Firefox. To install, just go to the Firefox homepage, and click "Free Download" in the upper left. Once the download is complete, simply run the installation program that you downloaded, follow the instructions to import your bookmarks and other settings if you wish, and start browsing.
If you are receiving warnings in red about the STAR Energizer requiring a Javascript-enabled browser, this means that either Javascript is turned off, or your browser does not support it. If you do not know how to enable JavaScript, then your browser probably does not support it. Firefox comes with Javascript already enabled, so if this is a problem for you, we recommend upgrading.
Good! To preserve the integrity of the STAR Energizer, the Back Button is disabled from the time you click "Score the STAR Energizer!", until you get your results. We understand that this can be frustrating, but in order to get an accurate score, we don't want you to be able to go back and change your answers.
